After breakfast, we begin our journey through Istanbul’s rich Jewish past. Our first stop is the Ashkenazi Synagogue, known for its striking blue dome and marble floors. Next, we visit the Ahrida Synagogue, one of the city’s oldest, with a pulpit shaped like Noah’s Ark—truly symbolic and deeply spiritual.
We’ll walk the elegant Kamondo Staircase, a 19th-century architectural gem, and continue to Zulfaris Synagogue, which is being restored as a museum of Jewish life in Turkey.
After a traditional lunch, we head to Neve Shalom Synagogue, still actively used by the Jewish community today. From there, we take in the view of the Galata Tower and wander through the colorful daily life of the Galata District—locals shopping, children playing, and stories unfolding in every corner.
